Junior Merchandising Executive

About the role

Source new products and manage assigned merchandise categories within a retail environment. Plan product assortment, category mix, and range strategies to drive sales performance. Analyze pricing strategies to optimize sales, profitability, and margins. Coordinate with suppliers on promotions, stock availability, and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels to minimize overstock, markdown risks, and slow-moving inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Source new products and manage assigned merchandise categories within a retail environment

• Plan product assortment, category mix, and range strategies to drive sales performance

• Analyze pricing strategies to optimize sales, profitability, and margins

• Prepare reports and data analysis to support supplier negotiations and business decisions

• Coordinate with suppliers on promotions, stock availability, and delivery schedules

• Monitor inventory levels to minimize overstock, markdown risks, and slow-moving inventory

• Ensure timely replenishment of best-selling and fast-moving products

• Work closely with internal teams to execute product launches, promotions, and merchandising activities

• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends and competitor activities

• Perform regular store visits to ensure merchandising and operational standards are maintained

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines

• Minimum 1 years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, or a related retail role

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
